Oh my dear sweet Sisters and ‘bloggy friends’ (term borrowed from Lysa TerKeurst) – this is one of those posts that you just don’t enjoy writing.

We have a friend and sister, Karen Ehman, that has asked us to please be in prayer for her wonderful Sister-in-love (her term for sister-in-law), Thais, (pronounced Ty-ese). Thais is a breast cancer survivor who has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer. You can read about it in Karen’s post by clicking on the “Praying for Thais” button that you see over to the right.  (You will come to the part concerning Thais about middle-way down.)

After reading Karen’s story, you will understand why our hearts are hurting so for Thais. There really are no more words to put here, other than to ask you to please join in with us and keep her lifted up in prayer.

Karen and Thais may be friends we’ve not yet met in person; but, that doesn’t make either of them any less our friends or sisters in Christ. He tells us in His Word, in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather together because they are Mine. I am there among them.” (New Living Translation)

Will you please join us in praying for Thais? And, while you’re at it, say a prayer for Karen and her family, also. They certainly won’t be wasted prayers. Would you leave a comment here and let Karen know that you are keeping them in your prayers? I know she will pass on your comments to Thais.

Now – I need your help – I was asked to let y’all know how to “grab” the “Praying for Thais” button so you could add it to your blogs. However, I can not figure out how to do that. I am new to all this and figured a way to get it on mine and the only way I know to share it with you is to share the “code” here. Maybe this will work. If you are knowledgable about creating “buttons” and how to ‘share’ them, PLEASE feel free to let me know. I would LOVE to learn how. Here is the code I used in the widget to post the “Praying for Thais” button and link it to Karen’s blogpost:

<a href=”http://karenehman.com/home/2011/06/30/breathe-2/&#8221; target=”_blank”><img src=”http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l200/myfatheristheking/FAITH-1-1.jpg&#8221; border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”></a>

Maybe you can just copy and paste that code to your blog to get it to work. I use WordPress and put that code in a TEXT widget to put it on my blogsite.

Don’t forget to leave an encouraging word and/or prayer for Thais in the comments. I will be sure Karen receives them and she will pass them along to Thais. Thanks ladies 🙂

I will be praying for Thais. I’m sorry this is happening.

I just saw the date and realized it’s two years later. I hope things are ok.

And I wish I had an answer for you. Unfortunately, I lost track of the friend who told me about her (different life courses, etc) and I really don’t have an update. Thank you for reminding me that I do need to check on this.
