NO APOLOGIESI offer no apologies for anyone that comes in contact with me or is contacted by me today. I am having one of those days where I am feeling overwhelmed by the love the Father has for me! I’m reminded, too, that as much as He loves me, He also loves those that we, as humans, tend to think of as ‘lowlifes’ or ‘good for nothings’. Here on earth we put people in different “statuses”; but, God – He loves us all the same and sees us all the same. He loves each one of us so much that He sent us a very precious gift, His Son, to die for us so that we could live with Him forever! The only difference He sees is those who have accepted His gift to us or those who haven’t – yet! He still loves us all the same, though, whether we have accepted His gift yet or not. He still wants each one of us to eventually accept His gift.

HOW TOTALLY AMAZING IS THAT???? It absolutely blows my mind and is the reason for the tears that were slipping from the corners of my eyes this morning as I was thinking about it while driving to work. They weren’t sad tears. I really don’t know what you would call them but I like to think of those kind of tears as the overflow of His love for me. I feel His presence and His love for me so strongly that I can’t hold it all inside and it comes out in the form of tears. I wish I were poetic enough to describe how I’m feeling when it’s like this, but either I’m not or the words just haven’t been created yet, so I have to do the best I can with what I have to work with.

My prayer today is this: If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior, don’t wait – do it today, this minute! You are not guaranteed another breath. He loves you as much as the Father does, He is standing right there at the door of your heart, knocking and knocking – He is just waiting for you to say, “Come in”. He is a gentleman and will not force His way in; but, know this, He also will not knock forever. There will come a day when He will determine that you have so hardened your heart that He will leave you alone, as you seem to want. I can only say that I pray that day doesn’t come for you. No matter how much you may think you want nothing to do with Him, the very minute you let the wall down and open the door to invite Him in, you will feel this wonderful, awesome, overwhelming love and you will be forever grateful that you let Him in.

I’m reminded of what I read in an Anne Graham Lotz Bible Study that I did several years ago. This is how she put it: He is the Savior who has redeemed me, the Lord who rules my life, The King who will return for me and He is the most important man in the UNIVERSE! He is the God man. Jesus Christ is THE MOST IMPORTANT MAN IN THE UNIVERSE FOR EVER & EVER & EVER! And the most important man in ALL the universe for EVER & EVER & EVER thinks that YOU are so important that He gave His own blood to redeem you. He gave His life for you. How can you feel unimportant? You are significant to THE MOST IMPORTANT MAN IN ALL THE UNIVERSE.

I also offer no apologies for the turn this blog seemed to take. I truly only wanted to share with everyone how overwhelmed with His love I was this morning; but, apparently, He had other ideas. Trust me, these words came straight from Him. As I was reading over what I had written, I was, once again, astounded at what He does when we allow Him to use us.

One more thing before I go – if you decide to accept Jesus as Your Savior and invite Him in, not only to your heart but your entire life, I would love to know so I can pray for you and with you. Just leave a comment here, a simple “I accepted Jesus” and I will definitely be praying for you.

Love y’all so much!

I was cleaning out folders in my e-mail today and I came across one called NOTES. I don’t even remember making that folder so I clicked to see what was in it and I found a poem that I had started writing on Aug. 20 of this year. My heart was heavy that day, though I didn’t {and still don’t} know why. I have days like that where my heart feels so sad and I’m crying but don’t know why. I began reading the poem and as soon as I got to where I had stopped, He immediately gave me the last two lines. How fitting that I found this today.

I know why my heart is sad today. A sweet, sweet lady who was a friend to me and many others was, as her daughter put it, “promoted to Heaven” this morning. Please be in prayer for her family and friends.

A PRAYER FROM MY HEART

I sit here with tears streaming down
Tears I don’t fully understand
Unless I’m feeling the hurt
Of my loved ones across this land

In my heart I feel such an ache
It seems it would explode
If I tried to hold back the tears
So I’ve learned to let them flow

I’m sick of the enemy’s tactics
How he pokes and sneers and jabs
Thinking he’ll have the last laugh
He doesn’t care who he nabs

He does his best to destroy
All we know and love
We’d best fall on our knees
And cry out to the Lord above

I know that I have failed
Haven’t really done my part
I need to spend more time in prayer
Crying out to God from my heart

I come now and ask forgiveness
From My Father, He’ll freely give
I ask Him to keep me close
And help me for Him to live.

I’ve been ‘pondering’ about tears for quite a while. Why do we shed tears? What purpose do they serve? I’m quite sure there are scientific reasons; but, I’m speaking more about what is in our heart when we shed tears? Obviously, I can only speak for myself and I can tell you there are many reasons that I shed tears.

I am a frequent tear shedder. It doesn’t take much to get them started in me. I shed tears when I’m happy, excited, upset, angry, overwhelmed, hurt or sad for myself or for someone else. I can even shed tears and not even know why! As I was thinking about trying to post something about this, a song kept coming to my mind – it’s an oldie, so I don’t know how many of you reading this may have heard it. If you have never heard Tears Are A Language God Understands click on the song title and it will take you to the lyrics. Tears are definitely a language and not just one that God understands but one that I’m sure a lot of people can understand. Whether you are one that sheds a lot of tears outwardly or whether you shed your tears inwardly, you still understand and know what they speak for you.

I believe tears are a way of cleansing your soul. While texting with a friend today, I mentioned I was wanting to do a study of Tears. Before I could tell her the direction I was thinking in (cleansing), this is what she wrote back: tears are beautiful– cleansing to the soul — funny how Mary’s tears cleansed her own soul more than Jesus’ feet. (Luke 7:38)  Coincidence? No – I don’t believe in that. I do believe in GODincidences though. I told her that I took her word as confirmation that I was to write this.

I believe that our tears cleanse our very soul and allow God to pour more love straight into our heart. That is why the picture I used for this post just jumped out at me when I saw it. Did you notice that the pupil of the eye is in the shape of a heart? That was the first thing I saw. As we are pouring our tears out to Him, He bottles them up and records every one and pours more of His love straight into our heart. You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book. ~Psalm 56:8 (NLT) And I also love how it is written in The Message~”You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in Your ledger, each ache written in Your book.”

So, the next time you find yourself shedding tears – whether on the outside or the inside – just remember that they are never wasted. Your Father knows of and saves every one and He knows every situation that caused each individual, single tear. He loves you with an everlasting love and will never leave you or forsake you.

Do you agree? Do you feel your tears serve a different purpose than what I mentioned here? I would love to hear your thoughts on  the subject in a comment here.
